Beko appliances enhance LEICHT Contracts’ commitment to delivering lasting innovation and value
The assurance of quality products, reliable service, and consistent stock availability makes Beko Appliance Partners the ideal choice to complement LEICHT Contracts' stunning kitchens.
Case Study: LEICHT Contracts – Purelake New Homes, Insignis Point, Sidcup, South East London
LEICHT Contracts recently chose Beko Appliance Partners to supply appliances for a new build project with leading Bromley-based developer, Purelake New Homes. Beko appliances were installed in 59 kitchens in Purelake’s Insignis Point development in Sidcup, a luxury collection of one, two and three-bedroom apartments with an emphasis on open-plan airy living areas.
As one of the UK’s leading providers of German engineered kitchen furniture to the new build and regeneration construction market, LEICHT Contracts work with a variety of market-leading brands that have relevance to the varying requirements and budgets of their projects. On the Insignis Point project, LEICHT Contracts were required to deliver a modern design whilst balancing storage and spaciousness, discreetly concealing Beko fully integrated dishwashers, washing machines and fridge freezers within their classic tall units.
A dependable partner
Sarah Edwards, Managing Director UK at LEICHT Contracts, comments: “We choose to partner with Beko for our mid-tier developments because they provide us with excellent service, great quality products and stock availability. Given that we are involved with multiple stakeholders on every project and need to manage numerous deadlines, it is always reassuring to know that we can rely on Beko to deliver.”
Sarah continues: “As we design and present kitchens for the contracts sector, which can take anywhere up to 24 months to come to fruition, it’s vital to be able to pre-empt future market trends and building regulations to ensure consistency of supply. In fact, as a carbon neutral manufacturer, we pride ourselves on offering thoughtful and aspirational design that is able to stand-up in the marketplace for at least two years or more by continuing to offer the client innovation and value.”
A shared sustainability ethos
Sarah comments: “All LEICHT furniture is carbon neutral and given that key initiatives such as the London Housing Plan continues to be led by community wellbeing, accessibility, and gender-informed planning, it’s become second nature for our designers to meet emerging and evolving needs that serves the built environment, local communities, and inhabitants. With this in mind, we appreciate the opportunity to partner with others working in the contract space which take a holistic approach to design, so our kitchens not only complement the space but also support the wellbeing of residents by creating interior spaces that people truly want and need.
“The message of sustainability is really important for us, and I particularly like the HarvestFresh™ feature in Beko’s fridge freezers. I’m really impressed by the technology which uses innovative three colour light technology in the crisper drawer to mimic the 24-hour sun cycle, preserving vitamins in fruits and vegetables for longer, so end users can enjoy a healthier lifestyle with more nutritious meals than ever.”
In addition to Beko’s HarvestFresh™ refrigeration technology, LEICHT Contracts chose to specify Beko’s innovative RecycledTub® washing machines on Purelake’s Insignis Point development to further support both their own, and the project’s sustainability goals. Plastic bottles account for up to 10% of the materials used in the tub of RecycledTub® washing machines and washer dryers, not only reducing the demand for virgin raw materials, but also helping to manage waste more effectively.
Furthermore, Beko’s extended 10 year parts warranty, now available on all products in our contract supply range, encourages users to extend the life of their appliances, reducing the impact on the environment by minimising electronic waste which can be challenging to recycle and add to landfill.
