Meet the Team: George Keegan, Specification Sales Manager

With over four decades of experience in the contracts and specification industry, George Keegan brings a deep understanding of the housebuilding market and a well-established reputation for delivering results. George is responsible for securing specifications with housebuilders and developers and ensuring that projects across the UK are matched with the right appliance solutions.
George has worked with Beko (and previously Whirlpool) for over 13 years, and during that time has built long-term partnerships with both customers and colleagues. His knowledge of the industry, dedication to service, and ability to navigate the ever-changing demands of the market make him a highly valued member of the team.
What does your average day look like?
No two days are the same at Beko Appliance Partners. It all depends on the needs of our partners at any given time. Typically, I spend my time communicating with current customers to make sure their orders are progressing smoothly and that any issues are resolved quickly. I work with prospective customers to understand their specification requirements and offer the best possible solutions. One of the most important aspects of my role is helping to win new specifications with potential customers. I also help internally, supporting my colleagues in whatever they may need.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I really enjoy the day-to-day interactions with our customers, understanding their needs and putting together tailored quotes that suit each project. It’s rewarding to know we’re helping them find the best solution. I enjoy being part of a great team that’s working hard to grow this channel and increase our presence in the market.
How does Beko Appliance Partners stand out from the competition? What is its biggest strength?
We’re able to offer a unique multi-brand portfolio of four leading brands, and that gives us a real advantage. We can meet a variety of needs, making it easier to match the right appliances to the right project. This is backed by trusted partnerships across our distribution network, meaning our customers don’t just get a product, they get a full-service solution from the early planning stages right through to handover and beyond. This combination of breadth, reliability, and service really sets us apart. We provide genuine support from day one. It’s not a transactional relationship, it’s a partnership, and our goal is to help every project run smoothly and to be there for our customers.
What should housebuilders consider when selecting appliances?
Every project is different, but a general piece of advice would be to ensure that appliance functionality aligns with the needs of the end user, all while staying within the project budget. It’s easy to over-spec or under-spec appliances if you’re not thinking about how the kitchen will be used day-to-day. We understand that build cost is paramount to our customers, so will always recommend the best possible options to keep budgets on track.
Are there any products or technologies that are proving especially popular?
Along with preferences for black appliances, induction hobs and tilted cooker hoods, we’ve definitely noticed an increase in demand for dishwashers. More and more customers are requesting that they be included as standard in specifications. We’re able to offer a variety of built-in models, including slimline options that are ideal for smaller kitchens, all while staying within budget and maintaining a sleek, modern look.
Which products in the contract supply range stand out to you?
Whirlpool’s 6th Sense technology is a clever feature across the range, which adds real value to the end user. It’s like having a built-in helper that takes care of the hard work for you! Smart sensors automatically adjust things like temperature, water and time, so everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy playing the guitar and I’m part of a 7-a-side football team.
